Share

Data Voice Solutions Corp. said it has entered into a business partnership with Gandalf Technologies Inc. of Ottawa, Canada. As part of the deal, Gandalf has purchased a minority position in Data Voice for a “seven-figure” investment, according to David Stastny, senior vice president for marketing at the Newport Beach-based company.

Data Voice markets an MS-DOS compatible multiuser computer system while Gandalf markets a so-called dumb-terminal system in which all users are linked to a central processing system.

Part of the partnership agreement is to jointly develop products that will integrate the two systems to give give terminal users both microcomputer and networking capabilities.

Stastny said Data Voice also will benefit from Gandalf’s worldwide network of “several hundred” sales people.
