Buoyed by “Moonlighting,” the Oscars and a Barbara Walters special--all of which finished in the top 10--ABC climbed into second place in the Nielsen ratings last week. Figures released Tuesday showed NBC riding atop the pack with a 16.7 rating and 26 share, but ABC posted a 15.8 rating and 25 share to finish second. CBS wasn’t far behind with a 15.2 rating and 24 share. Each rating point represents 874,000 homes. The Top 10 shows, in order, were “The Cosby Show,” “Family Ties,” “Moonlighting,” “Cheers,” the Academy Awards, “Growing Pains,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Who’s the Boss?,” “Barbara Walters Special” and “Golden Girls.” Rankings for premiering series included “Nothing in Common” (14th), “Max Headroom” (26th), “Mariah” (56th), “Take Five” (64th) and “Roxie” (65th). “Our World” anchored the list in 70th place.
