Gene Autry and the Autry Foundation will sell 12.4 acres of land to the Tribune Co. of Chicago for an undisclosed price. The Tribune Co. has been leasing the land since 1985, when it bought independent television station KTLA for $510 million. Situated on the property are the broadcast facilities and administrative offices of KTLA, the offices of Autry’s Golden West Broadcasters and seven additional TV production studios. Two Golden West-owned radio stations, KMPC-AM and KUTE-FM, will remain on the property under long-term leases.
