Orange County Community College Roundup : Clester Has 4 Hits to Lead Rancho Santiago to 22-6 Win

Wade Clester was 4 for 6 and had six RBIs Tuesday to lead Rancho Santiago College to a 22-6 victory over Yuba City in a Ventura tournament semifinal game at Moorpark College. Brent Reece added three hits and three RBIs, and John McTaggart had two hits, including a bases-empty home run, for Rancho Santiago.

The Dons (22-5) play in today’s 2 p.m. championship game.

In softball:

Rancho Santiago 9, Moorpark 0--Terrina Franklin hit a grand slam in the first inning to help the Dons (24-7) in the College of the Sequoias tournament. Franklin, who hit three home runs in the tournament, was named most valuable player. Dawn Robertson (8-3) was the winning pitcher.
