Two teen-age boys from Virginia died of carbon monoxide poisoning in a double suicide in rural south-central Pennsylvania, authorities said. The boys, both 17 and from Fairfax County, Va., were found dead in a car in South Middleton Township, a rural residential area a half-mile from Interstate 81, a Pennsylvania state police spokesman said. Cumberland County Coroner Michael Norris pronounced the victims dead at the scene. Norris said he had determined that the youths committed suicide, but he and police declined to provide additional information. The investigation was continuing.
