A Norwalk newlywed pounding on a slot machine that refused to spit out the $250 she thought was due Saturday night was politely informed she had actually won $1.15 million.

Lorraine Page, 25, had been playing the progressive $1 slots for only three minutes when she lined up four triple-bars to win the jackpot, Caesar’s Palace spokeswoman Debbie Munch said.

Misreading the machine, Page thought she had won $250 until a casino employee informed her the payoff was really $1,150,697, Munch said.

Page and her husband, Robert, were married in Las Vegas just 10 hours earlier.

The couple had been living with Page’s mother in Norwalk in order to save money to buy a home, Munch said.

“Her husband also said he wants to buy her a nicer wedding ring,” Munch said.
