Wickes agreed to purchase an auto parts maker.

The Santa Monica-based manufacturing and retailing conglomerate said Dura Corp. of Southfield, Mich., would be “a natural extension” of its own automotive products segment. Last year, privately held Dura had sales of more than $100 million. Dura, with more than 500,000 square feet of factory capacity, produces window regulators, door hinges, power units for convertible tops, hood assists, step bumpers and suspension components. Purchase price was not disclosed.
