National Semi Subsidiary Gets New President

Santa Clara, Calif.-based National Semiconductor Corp., a supplier of advanced semiconductor and systems products, named Mark A. Parrish Jr., 56, president of its Datachecker Systems Inc. unit.

Parrish previously was executive vice president and general manager of Datachecker, with responsibility for North American sales, support and field engineering and international subsidiaries and distributors.

Datachecker manufactures, markets and services point-of-sale systems and applications software to the supermarket, general merchandise and hospitality industries worldwide.

Parrish joined Datachecker in 1973 as a major account manager and has held various managerial positions during his 14 years with the firm.
