An eighth-grader who apparently quarreled with her girlfriends held her English teacher and 13 classmates at gunpoint for an hour in Phoenix before releasing them unharmed. Before Beth surrendered, police evacuated two classrooms and told students in other nearby classrooms to lie on the floor in case any shots were fired.
