Pacific Bell will petition the state Supreme Court.
The company will ask the court to stay a decision by the California Public Utilities Commission that reduced the company’s rates by $191 million a year. The company made the announcement after a PUC decision Wednesday denying its request for a stay and rehearing of two separate orders related to the rate reduction.
