A motorist was killed Thursday in Fullerton in a flaming auto crash that closed two lanes of the Riverside Freeway for two hours at rush hour, California Highway Patrol dispatchers said. The victim could not be identified because of the severity of the burns, an Orange County coroner’s office spokesman said. CHP dispatchers said the driver of a Chevy Nova was traveling east on California 91 at 4:35 p.m. when the car began to fishtail. The car veered left and struck the freeway center divider, dispatchers said, then flipped over onto its roof, slid and burst into flames. No other cars were involved in the crash and no other injuries were reported, the CHP said.
