China Will Intensify Anti-AIDS Inspections

BEIJING —
City health authorities will intensify inspections of people arriving from abroad to prevent the spread of AIDS and other infectious diseases, the official China Daily reported Thursday.
The newspaper did not give details of the new inspection procedures, which take effect May 1, but said that all airports, hotels, universities, customs and judicial departments, police and health offices must cooperate.
