Whimsy and Wisdom at the Faire

Spring fever was endemic Saturday at UC Irvine, where the Wayzgoose Medieval Faire attracted throngs to the annual campus celebration. Costumed jugglers, tightrope walkers and mimes performed for students and the public. People by the tram load toured a variety of educational exhibits. The College of Medicine showcased technological advances and administered health screening tests. There were games and a book sale--in all, it was a unique blend of whimsy and wisdom.
