President Reagan has nominated a general who commands an infantry division in West Germany to become the next deputy commander of all U.S. Army forces in Europe, the Pentagon said Friday.

Assuming he is confirmed by the Senate, Maj. Gen. George R. Stotser would be promoted to lieutenant general and become deputy commander-in-chief, U.S. Army Europe.
