ORANGE COUNTY
David S. Tappan, chairman and chief executive officer of Fluor Corp., the Irvine-based engineering, construction and natural resources company, will be honored by the Orange County Regional Purchasing Council for his role in minority economic development in the county.
The council, funded by 55 Orange County corporations to assist minority-owned companies, cited Tappan and the Fluor Corp. for “supporting and encouraging programs that benefit minority-owned businesses,” said a council spokesman.
