Liver Patient, 7, Has Pneumonia

PITTSBURGH, Pa. —
Seven-year-old Ronnie DeSillers, who underwent three liver transplants and needs a fourth, developed pneumonia today in his fight for survival at Children’s Hospital, spokeswoman Sue Cardillo said.
The child remained in critical condition and under heavy sedation. If a suitable fourth liver is found, doctors would weigh Ronnie’s condition against the risks of a fourth operation, Cardillo said.
