Snow showers lingered over the extreme Northeast as New England dug out from nearly two feet of snow and utility crews scrambled to restore power to thousands after the surprise spring storm. The storm that hit parts of Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island moved off the Eastern Seaboard, trailed by a rapidly moving cold front that brought more snow and rain. About 6,600 customers in New Hampshire remained without electricity and scattered outages were reported across the region.
