Israeli Raids Kill 13 in Lebanon

Israeli warplanes attacked Palestinian guerrilla bases today near the southern port city of Sidon, killing 13 people and injuring 35, police said.
It was the highest casualty toll in an Israeli air raid on Lebanon this year. Israel said all its planes returned safely to base. Six guerrilla command posts belonging to the three main factions of Yasser Arafat’s Palestine Liberation Organization were destroyed in the 55-minute attack on Sidon’s refugee camps of Ein el Hilwa and Miye ou Miye, police said.
