Covering the Conference

Congratulations to The Times for its coverage of the Women’s Conference (April 21). Lynne Smith and Daniel Weintraub exhibited thoroughness and accuracy in reporting the efforts of many Orange County women’s organizations to bring Sen. William Campbell’s voting record on women’s issues to public awareness. I’d like to add WOMEN FOR: to that list of organizations. WOMEN FOR: was a strong initial supporter of the effort to expose Sen. Campbell’s use of this conference to obscure his lack of sincerity in supporting legislation which most directly affects women in their daily lives.
