The ashes of film maker Orson Welles, packed in an old blue suitcase, arrived in Madrid Monday on their way for burial at the ranch of retired bullfighter Antonio Ordonez. His daughter Beatrice said that Spain had been her father’s favorite country and the place he always wanted to be buried. Welles died of a heart attack in 1985; his daughter explained that plans to bury him were delayed by the death of her mother, Paola Mori, in a car crash last year. The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday to mark the 72nd anniversary of her father’s birth.
