PDA Engineering Resumes Shipments of PATRAN

Share

PDA Engineering, a Costa Mesa designer and marketer of mechanical engineering software, said Friday it has corrected technical problems in its PATRAN software and has resumed shipping the products to customers with IBM mainframes.

Shipments were halted five weeks ago after customers complained that the computer software had been “slow and difficult to use,” John E. McDonald, the company’s president, said at the time. Analysts have predicted the temporary shutdown would cost the company up to $800,000.
