Washington state’s Supreme Court upheld a Superior Court verdict that Sylmar-based Sierracin, by also selling to airlines, broke an exclusive agreement to supply Boeing Co. with cockpit windows.

In a unanimous opinion, the court upheld Boeing’s $4-million award against Sierracin.

In a related decision, the Supreme Court overturned a Superior Court judgment that had awarded Sierracin more than $2.1 million in a countersuit that accused Boeing of antitrust violations.

In his decision, Supreme Court Justice Fred H. Dore said Boeing was the only company authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration to make the unusual cockpit windows, used in Boeing’s 707, 727 and 737 jets.
