‘The Court Tunes Out’

Share

I seriously considered having my blood pressure taken after reading your editorial.

Your reasoning is repulsive at best. Why shouldn’t these killers die for their heinous crimes? The Times uses the old standby term “revenge” for the true definition of justice. If the editorial writers would look up the word justice, they would find it means “reward or penalty as deserved.” The Georgia case was just another attempt to circumvent what should be the inevitable for these human animals.

I agree with you that the death penalty is not a deterrent. It was never meant to deter; just punish. The rhetoric printed in this paper is quite similar to the California justices who were voted out in the last election. Your antiquated views should be put out to the same pasture as those “retired” magistrates.
