A Peruvian claiming to be the guide and confidant described by Shirley MacLaine in her best-seller-turned-miniseries “Out on a Limb” appeared in a Minneapolis court Wednesday on charges that he molested two women. Charles Hurtado Silva, 42, was arrested Saturday shortly before his lecture on such subjects as miracles and extraterrestrial phenomena. MacLaine’s publicist said the actress met Silva in Peru but denies he was the character David in the book, saying the character was a composite of various people.
