PARK SERVICE RESIGNATION

Share

Let’s get the politicians back in politics and out of the parks! The exploitation of the unique treasures in our National Parks, Monuments and Wilderness areas by Reagan Administration appointees must be halted. Hats off to Howard Chapman for standing up for his beliefs!

If some Americans want an armchair view of the Grand Canyon, give them a television show. If I climb or ride muleback for the honor of seeing this wonder firsthand, I certainly don’t want disturbing aircraft buzzing about! Or a tram along side, or any of the other outrages that have been proposed for this treasure.

The wilderness and our National Parks are too valuable, too irreplaceable, to turn it over to developers and miners (the land rapists) as we have the rest of the country. John Muir must be spinning in his grave.

The fear? Who next will fill Chapman’s post?
