Rice Sought Out Rich and Famous Men, Paper Says

The newspaper that sparked Gary Hart’s exit from the presidential race today described Donna Rice, the blonde at the center of the row, as a dedicated jet-setting party girl who sought out rich and famous men.

The Miami Herald said other men in the actress-model’s life included arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi and Prince Albert of Monaco.

The paper said Rice and a friend, Julie Semones, got to know members of the Khashoggi family in 1981 and were invited to a party on his yacht. During a subsequent tour of Europe, the arms dealer invited both of them to go on a buying spree.

It also said Rice got herself invited to the New York Giants victory party in Pasadena last January in order to meet some big-name guests.

On Sunday, the paper quoted her father, William Rice, as saying, “That’s a very active little girl.”
