Mark Hood, starting fullback for Cal State...

Mark Hood, starting fullback for Cal State Fullerton last season, was charged with a misdemeanor count of assault and battery for allegedly striking another student in the face April 15.

Hood, 21, allegedly attacked William Eaken, 24, who is employed as a recreational supervisor. Hood reportedly became upset when Eaken refused to make change for him in the recreation office, campus police said.

Hood, a 5-foot 11-inch, 215-pound senior, is scheduled to be arraigned May 19 in North Orange County Municipal Court in Fullerton.
