India Security Forces Kill 2 Sikhs

CHANDIGARH, India —
Punjab security forces raided a home early today and killed two Sikh extremists, including the alleged mastermind of the 1985 assassination of a moderate Sikh leader, police said.
Police said five officers were wounded, two seriously, in the early morning shoot-out on the outskirts of Sangrur, 75 miles southwest of the Punjab state capital of Chandigarh.
