The Fluor Corp. said its Fluor Daniel engineering and construction unit has signed two building contracts with the Ciba-Geigy Corp., a New York-based chemical products company.

Under one contract, valued at $14 million, the Fluor Daniel unit will start construction in June of a two-story, 100,000 square-foot biochemical laboratory in Greensboro, N.C., to be completed by the end of 1988, the company said.

The second contract calls for Fluor Daniel to provide designs and construction management of a finishing plant for pigments used in the paint and ink industries. Scheduled for completion within seven months, the project includes additions and renovations to three existing buildings on a 35-acre site in Newport, Del.
