Scores of South Korean riot police, firing tear gas, stormed Yonsei University in western Seoul at dawn and arrested 36 students taking part in an anti-government hunger strike. Earlier, students at Yonsei and three other universities, in Seoul and the southern city of Kwangju, hurled firebombs and rocks at police, who used tear gas and baton charges to disperse them. The militants are demanding the removal of President Chun Doo Hwan.
