Lord Grundy, ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, raced to a neck victory in the $69,400 Caballero Handicap Saturday before a crowd of 31,001 at Hollywood Park.

Delahoussaye took the winner to the front coming out of the gate but was never able to open a large lead. Great Communicator, who finished second, and Inbarr both made runs at the leader, who held his advantage to the end.

The lightly regarded Circus Prince was third, and the heavily favored Bello Horizonte finished ninth in the field of 12.
