Kindergarten Story

Bravo to Joan Libman’s article, “In Kindergarten, Sometimes Older Is Better” (April 29). If more parents knew their children didn’t have to be enrolled in a school until the year they turned 6 and “overprotected” them by waiting to put them in school, maybe there would be fewer elementary school children who are on drugs and alcohol or having to repeat kindergarten and first grade.
