One Killed by Israeli Missiles in Lebanon
Israeli warplanes attacked Palestinian targets on a hilltop near this southern port city, and one guerrilla soldier was killed, police said.
They said the jets fired four missiles into an olive grove near the Miye ou Miye refugee camp, destroyed a truck-mounted anti-aircraft gun and left 15 small craters in the ground.
A witness said that one guerrilla was killed and two people were wounded.
Fatah guerrillas loyal to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat fired anti-aircraft guns at the Israeli planes, but a military spokesman in Tel Aviv said they returned safely after attacking what he said was a “terrorist training base.”
