The bidding heated up for Resorts International.

A New York lawyer said that he and three other investors have made a bid to purchase a controlling interest in Resorts International Inc. that tops developer Donald Trump's previous offer by $75 a share. The unsolicited bid by attorney Francis Purcell and three partners is for $210 a share for all of Resorts' Class B stock, which has 100 times the voting power of the company's Class A stock.
