Philadelphia Cardinal Has Operation to Stop Bleeding

PHILADELPHIA —
Cardinal John Krol, spiritual leader to Philadelphia’s 1.3 million Roman Catholics, was in stable condition Tuesday after a seven-hour operation to stop internal bleeding, doctors at St. Agnes Medical Center said.
