Loyie (Buddy) Humphrey, former quarterback for the Rams, is improving after undergoing brain surgery May 13 to remove a recurrent malignant tumor, a spokeswoman for Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena said. Humphrey, 51, is expected to be discharged from the facility Thursday.
