Police officers armed with rifles stood guard outside a Lake Charles, La., courtroom as a judge sentenced three Colombians convicted in the machine-gun slaying of a federal drug informant to life in prison. As ordered by law, District Judge Charley Quienalty imposed the life sentence handed down by the jury May 13 on Luis Quintero-Cruz, Miguel Velez and Bernardo Vasquez. The men were convicted of first-degree murde1914726766(Barry) Seal.
