SATURDAY LETTERS : OWNERIZATION

Share

Does any one besides me see the irony of Woody Allen appearing in Washington to lobby against colorization while in earlier years he acquired a Japanese detective movie (“What’s Up, Tiger Lily?”) that he redubbed with a comedy track (“Colorization Gets a Senate Hearing,” by Penny Pagano, May 13)?

One wonders how the director of that Japanese film felt about “his vision being destroyed.”

The colorization issue will disappear when we all follow the Golden Rule as exemplified by Allen: “He who owns the gold makes the rules.”
