Eleanor Moore, PR Expert, Editor, Dies

Funeral services for Eleanor Moore, a labor official and public relations expert, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.

Mrs. Moore, who was editor of the Bakers Union News for the Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Workers Union, Local 37, for 24 years, died Friday at St. Vincent’s Medical Center after a prolonged illness.

Before taking on the union position, she worked with her late husband, David E. Moore in his public relations firm, David E. Moore & Associates.

Besides her editing duties, she handled public relations for Local 37 and was in charge of the union’s float in the annual Tournament of Roses Parade.

She was a member of the Performing Arts Council of the Music Center and a director of the Greater Los Angeles Press Club for several years.

She leaves a daughter, Connie Valenzuela of Long Beach; a sister; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
