In “Baby Girl Scott,” John Lithgow and Mary Beth Hurt (top photo) are parents who face an emotionally complicated debate: whether or not to prolong the life of their premature and severely underdeveloped infant daughter. Linda Kelsey co-stars as a hospital representative who provides professional and moral support in the two-hour film, airing Sunday at 9 p.m. on CBS (Channels 2 and 8). John Korty directed Christopher Knopf’s teleplay for executive producer Beth Polson.

On Tuesday, KCOP Channel 13 (at 8 p.m.) introduces “Ford: The Man and the Machine,” with Cliff Robertson cast as innovator-industrialist Henry Ford, and Hope Lange and Heather Thomas as the women in his life. Part 1 of the two-part drama encores Friday at 8 p.m., with the conclusion airing next week at the same times.
