Ex-Fiji Leader Sues

SUVA, Fiji —
Deposed Prime Minister Timoci Bavadra began legal action today to regain office, challenging the authority of a caretaker government following a coup two weeks ago. In papers filed in Fiji’s Supreme Court, Bavadra said the dissolution of Parliament was illegal and referred to the present interim government as a military regime.
