Man Gets 190-Year Term in Duffy Slayings
A 19-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 190 years in prison for shooting to death the parents of actor Patrick Duffy during a $90 robbery at their tavern last year.
Sean Wentz, who pleaded guilty, was the second to be sentenced in the case. His co-defendant, Kenneth Miller, also 19, was sentenced to 180 years after his conviction on March 19 on robbery and felony homicide charges.
Jefferson County District Judge Frank Davis said that he added 10 years to the sentence for Wentz because “the Miller jury sent a message that Sean Wentz was the triggerman.”
Wentz and Miller, both of Helena, had accused each other of pulling the trigger Nov. 18 at The Lounge, the bar Terrence and Marie Duffy owned in Boulder.
