Only in L.A. Is Such Rudeness Exhibited

Share

I went to my first Laker game on May 2. What a thrill it was to have my first game be a playoff game . . . and what a disappointment that with five minutes on the clock and our home team ahead by only 10 points, half of the sold-out Forum crowd got up to leave, running out early to try and beat the crowds in the parking lot.

Is that how Los Angeles fans treat their winning team? Is that all the support these demanding fans can muster for players like Abdul-Jabbar, Johnson and Worthy? Regardless of the fact that these tickets cost a pretty penny, can you imagine Boston fans leaving early? No, only in L.A. is such rudeness exhibited, and I, for one, a native Los Angeleno, am embarrassed and ashamed.
