Intellectual Life in L.A.

Thanks to Gingold’s footnote, I have mustered enough gall to attempt my first letter to the editor. What keeps going through my head, particularly after reading the letters pertaining to your cover story on Al Checchi, is that those letters are a sure sign of intellectual life in Los Angeles.
