Burlington was sued again in a takeover battle.

A group led by investor Asher B. Edelman and Dominion Textile filed a second lawsuit against Burlington Industries Inc. and its management, accusing them of a “fraudulent and illegal scheme” to thwart acquisition of the textile company. The suit, filed in federal court in Manhattan by Samjems Partners I and Samjems Acquisition, accused the defendants of trying to block the acquisition of Burlington.
