FINAL WORKS IN NEWPORT PUBLIC ART PROJECT SHOWN

Models of entries under consideration for the first Art in Public Places project in Newport Beach have been placed on display at City Hall.

Six finalists have been chosen in the competition to design a work for Inspiration Point in Corona del Mar. City officials said they were seeking public input on the entries by the six artists to help choose a winner.

The design teams are: artists Cardoza Dilallo Harrington and Baile Oaks; artist Tony Delap and landscape architecture firm Dike/Runa; landscape architects Hargreaves Associates and artist John Roloff; landscape architects the L.A. Group and artist Lloyd Hamrol; POD Inc., landscape architects, and artist Doug Moran; landscape architects Cunningham Design Inc., and artists Helene Harrison, Newton Harrison, Marcello Petrocelli, Paul Hobson and Manuel Unzuenta.

The models will be on display until mid-July in Newport Beach City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd. The final selection will be made by the Newport Beach City Council in August.
