‘Lower the Ante in the Gulf ‘

Your editorial (May 19), “Tragedy in the Persian Gulf,” pondered many questions. OK, so we want “to protect shipping from the critical oil fields of the Middle East,” but what is the price going to be? How many more Americans are going to have to die their country?

Dopn’t worry, I’m not at that age where I’ll have to go.
