Defensive back Darrell Fullington of the University of Miami, who played in all 13 games of the 1984 season, should have been sidelined because he failed to meet eligibility standards for that semester, university Vice Provost James Ash Jr. told the Miami News. Fullington may also have violated NCAA rules by playing while not in good academic standing, The News said.
