A Boston bank has been ordered by the special congressional investigative committees to provide records of an account in the name of former White House aide Oliver L. North, a Boston television station reported Friday.

WCVB quoted an unidentified source on the joint Senate and House committees probing the Iran- contra affair as saying the State Street Bank has at least one account in the name of the Marine lieutenant colonel. A bank spokesman reportedly said the bank would provide the records.
