The rate of successful passage of the California Bar examination increased in February to 42.8%, up 14 points from the previous year. The State Bar said the mark was the highest for the normally low-scoring winter examination since 1979. Of 4,734 who took the test this year, 2,026 passed. The Bar said that will increase the state’s lawyer total to 105,437.
